As a member of the BSG IT team, reporting to the IT Director, the Cybersecurity Manager is accountable and responsible for BSG cybersecurity posture, and alignment with Brookfield Renewable cybersecurity program, policies and standards.

As part of this mandate, manage external partners and coordinate with internal resources available to monitor and proactively responds to any cyber threat which materialized or might materialize at any company asset to prevent or minimize potential business, financial, or reputational impact.

The manager is also responsible for producing analysis reports, executing/coordinating audit findings, communicate with IT leaders served by BSG and ensuring the optimum performance of networks from an information security’s perspective.ResponsibilitiesLead BSG Cybersecurity initiatives; get buy-in of other BSGIT leadersManage and coordinate work of external partners to deliver cybersecurity related responsibilitiesEvaluate and recommend to the BSG IT Director approaches to maintain a strong cybersecurity resilience with best usage of available resourcesWork in collaboration with other BSG leaders to balance cybersecurity and agility, while communicating and understanding risks involved: risk-based approachConduct security assessments and make recommendation for Disaster Recovery(DR), remote access, network appliance, Server, application and Endpoints.Support the business in planning and implementing cybersecurity initiativesMonitor execution by Service Delivery Manager (SDM) of security patch levels of the servers, workstations and network environments, EDR and anti-virus systems.Support the implementation of all cybersecurity technology solutions including endpoint, network security, vulnerability management, SIEM and othersLead and monitor user awareness training and phishing program, coordinate with corporate on quarterly campaigns.Set up processes to efficiently conduct network traffic analysis and ancillary sources, correlate with other technology solutions to identify the sources of network intrusions, recommend and implement protections.Coordinate analysis on security incidents, propose changes based on knowledge learnedMonitor and review security alerts of potential malicious activity detected by security systems such as: Intrusion Detection and Prevention Systems, Log Monitoring, Azure, Office 365, Endpoint Detection and SIEMSecurity prevention planning and maintain risk registryStaying up to-date with industry cybersecurity issues and maintaining necessary information technology security documents.Assist in coordinating 3rd party penetration/network assessmentsAssist in facilitating internal and external IT audits.Partner with Corporate Security to ensure policies and guidelines are being executed
