Teacher – Graphic and Web Design

This is a Part-time position in Gatineau, QC posted November 12, 2018.

SUMMARY
The college is seeking a part-time professor to teach a course within the Graphic & Web Design program in the winter 2019 term.

412-C09-HR Manuals and Forms (January 10th, to July 10th, 2019)
4 hours of teaching (2 hours of theory and 2 hours of lab) and 4 hours of availability per week
This course focuses on the design, creation and production of training manuals and forms for the Web and for print from the initial request to the final product.

412-E20-HR Web Design II (January 10th, to July 10th, 2019)
4 hours of teaching (2 hours of theory and 2 hours of lab) and 4 hours of availability per week
This course continues to develop the students’ skills in the production of user-friendly and well-designed websites. The students will also be introduced to JavaScript to add user interactivity and design and develop advanced GUI (graphical user interface) and add form validation.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED
Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Graphic and Web Design, NewMedia or in another related field. Several years of teaching experience at the undergraduate or college level is preferred. Fluency in English, both oral and written is required. Knowledge of software as per program requirements is necessary.

  • Must be flexible as required by the department workloads. Must be willing to work collaboratively within the Faculty team.
