If you’re ready to take the next step in your career, we’re excited to bring you on to our team.Duties and Responsibilities:Direct and coordinate electrical planning and implementation ensuring compliance with specifications, codes, and work order requirementsDesigns items such as electrical equipment arrangements, lighting layouts and LV single line diagramsProvide electrical calculations such as volt-drop, EHT heat loss, illumination level, distribution transformer sizing and panel loadingCreate technical reports, documentation, calculations and sketchesCreate conceptual designs for assigned projectsMaintain up-to-date electrical engineering knowledge and stay current with industry trends and best practicesCreate specifications as neededPerform electrical studies as assignedThe duties and responsibilities mentioned, while not exhaustive, represent responsibilities that the Electrical Design Engineer will hold.

The responsibilities listed may change over time, as instructed by INVIRO.Qualifications And RequirementsPost-secondary Degree or Certificate in Electrical Engineering requiredMasters degree in (Electrical) Engineering is an asset Professional Engineer (P.Eng) designation is an assetQA experience is an asset 5+ years of experience in Electrical Engineering requiredPMP is an asset Work experience designing HV substations, hydroelectric plants, MV and LV distribution systems, and large electrical systems requiredWork experience with fire alarms, lighting and emergency power generation preferredDemonstrated experience working on various retail/commercial building projectsDemonstrated understanding of engineering theories and principlesDemonstrated knowledge of Canadian electrical standardsAble to communicate ideas and recommendations to non-engineer team members in a clear mannerAble to effectively communicate, both verbally and in writing, with all levels of the organizationStrong problem identification and problem resolution skillsExcellent time management skillsExcellent independent judgement and reasoningThis position is full time and located in Gloucester, ON.
