Electrician – Instrumentation Technician – Class 3

This is a Full-time position in Gatineau, QC posted October 16, 2021.

– Instrumentation Technician
– Class 3 12 Months
– Temporary position – Unionized position to fill 2 Code MC21-11 hourly rate 33,46 $ deadline to apply October 13th, 2021 The work location is at Nunavik and the normal work schedule is on a rotation of 6 weeks: 3 weeks worked (77 hours per week, 7 days a week) followed by 3 weeks for rest.

Future challenges Reporting to the Plant Maintenance Supervisor, the technician responsibilities will include: Complete the maintenance of the electrical equipment and solve equipment problems.

Perform the calibration of production equipment (PH probe, ORP, nuclear density meter) and others.

Repair and restore production equipment and put them back into service.

Install new equipment when needed.

Carry out modifications and put together the installation of low and medium voltage electrical.

Carry out modifications and pneumatic installations.

Perform all other tasks related to his position.

profile required Hold a “C” license as an electrician.

Hold a College Diploma (DEC) in Instrumentation and Industrial Control (or equivalent).

Have 3 to 5 years of experience in maintenance, repair, and installation.

Have work experience in hydraulics and pneumatics.

Ability to diagnose problems on different equipment and interpret plans and specifications.

Know various kinds of probes: pH, turbidity, conductivity, balance, level.

Know the Autocad software.

Nice to have Knowledge of Word, Excel software.

Have already used maintenance software.

Know the Schneider products: drive, starter, PLCs.
