Intermediate Life Cycle Management Specialist (Aviation Systems Support)

Calian is currently looking for a Life Cycle Management Specialist (LCMS) specialized in Aviation Systems Support for a multi-year contract based in Gatineau, QC.

This position is currently operating remotely, however, it is expected that this individual will return to the office.

Responsibilities: Coordinate details of the LCMM integration activities with internal and external agencies Investigate technical issues and advise and recommend solution(s) to problems Draft correspondence and records using personal computers and Microsoft Office programs Participate in visits in response to technical, testing, or operational concerns and provide recommended solutions Draft and present technical presentations Attend and participate in the planning and organization of meetings and technical reviews related to areas of responsibility Track the location and status of aircraft system assets and spares Initiate and co-ordinate equipment updates and reviews and investigate possible alternate or replacement equipment and systems for airworthiness acceptance Co-ordinate repair, modification, and overhaul programs with contractors as well as monitor deliveries of modification kits or parts to field units Review, investigate, and action Unsatisfactory Conditions Reports (UCRs), Publication Discrepancy Reports (PDRs), Pre-Installation Failure (PIFs), and Aircraft Inspection Change Proposals (AICPs) Draft modification instructions and associated Aircraft Modification Approval FOrm (AMAF), Special Inspections (SIs), and special information instructions Originate, draft, revise, and maintain technical orders as they relate to assigned systems Draft, and maintain technical SOWs, Project Charters, Project Management Plans, Specifications, and Test Plans as requested by the TA Draft and maintain Statement of Objectives (SOOs), Statement of Requirements (SORs), Request for Estimates (EFEs), and test plans Provide technical support to field units, CH146 WSM, and operational staff Evaluate technical proposals for equipment upgrades and new requirements and provide recommendations as the subject matter expert Catalog new system components into DRMIS, assign appropriate item characteristics and build equipment checklists for kits Requirements: Eligible for or currently hold a Secret (Level II) Clearance with the Government of Canada.

Thirty-six (36) months of demonstrated working experience in the past ninety-six (96) months on aviation systems in support of an Air Force fleet.

Thirty-six (36) months demonstrated working experience in the past ninety-six (96) months applying civil or military airworthiness regulations enforced in North America or NATO-allied Air Force, such as the DND Technical Airworthiness Manual, Federal Aviation Administration regulations or Transport Canada regulations, or equivalent.

Thirty-six (36) months demonstrated working experience in the past ninety-six (96) months writing project-related documents such as, but not limited to: Statements of Work, Statements of Requirement, or Statements of Objective for Technical Authority approval.

Thirty-six (36) months demonstrated working experience in the past ninety-six (96) months in preparing, interpreting, and managing aircraft airworthiness documentation such as but not limited to, Aircraft Modification Approval Forms (AMAFs), modification instructions, and publication amendments.

The federal government has implemented a mandatory vaccination policy for public servants and all contractor personnel who access Government of Canada workplaces.
