District Manager

This is a Full-time position in Gatineau, QC posted July 28, 2017.

Reporting to the President, the position holder is responsible for the management, planning, sales targets, support, supervision and training of store employees within the dedicated area.
Possible areas : Gatineau, Nepean & Gloucester

Responsibilities: 

  • Supervise, motivate and manage store employees;
  • Identify current and future needs in human resources;
  • Recruit and perform the continuous training of store employees;
  • Ensure the maintenance of a high standard of customer service and an outstanding shopping experience;
  • Contribute to customer service and resolve issues;
  • Conduct store visits with visit reports;
  • Communicate with stores, distribution centre and administrative centre;
  • Be consulted concerning store communications;
  • Budgeting and control store sales and losses;
  • Communicate store sales targets;
  • Analyze and help optimize store sales and profitability;
  • Organize and participate in meetings, exhibitions and conferences;
  • Develop business;
  • Responsible for local competitor monitoring;
  • Participate in store openings;
  • Contribute in negotiations and procurement of store supplies or services;
  • Apply and enforce company policies and procedures;
  • Validate sales reports;
  • Validate store schedules and hours worked;
  • All other related tasks.

  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in a related position or equivalent;
  • Possess a university degree, college or equivalent;
  • Strong sense of autonomy and initiative;
  • Skilled manager & communicator;
  • Good judgement & problem-solving oriented;
  • Organized thinking and work planning;
  • Available to work days, evenings and weekends.
