sales and marketing manager


This is a Full-time position in Outaouais, QC posted August 9, 2017.

Latem and Plastico Industries are progressive companies specializing in automotive parts cleaning, coatings and finishes. We have an immediate opportunity for a highly motivated individual to join our Sales and Marketing team. Reporting to the Operations Manager you have a strong work ethic and excel at new account development.

RELATIONSHIPS: Reports to: Operations Manager

Internal Contacts: Daily contact with all levels of staff

External Contacts: Clients, Vendors, etc.

POSITION SUMMARY: The successful candidate will be responsible for generating new business, building strong customer relationships, and continued growth of our existing customer base. They will plan and implement sales and marketing development programs.


Develop and implement strategic sales and marketing plans to achieve corporate objectives for products and services.

Plan and oversee advertising and promotional activities including print, social media, and promotional events.

Create and sustain rapport and relationships with new and existing accounts by making periodic visits and anticipating new opportunities.

Day to day management of accounts

Managing company social media accounts, websites and blogs

Researching potential target industries and customers

Building and maintaining strong customer relationships

Quoting based on piece per hour, material weight, packaging, labour, freight, projected scrap rate, etc., ensuring that all quotes are competitive.

Travel is required on a daily basis to cover Southern Ontario. A company paid car and expenses are included.

• Minimum 5 years industrial sales experience, preferably in the automotive industry

• Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to develop relationships

• Ability to work independently without supervision

• The ability to seek out new business and recognize opportunities with existing clients

• Excellent verbal, written, quoting, and presentation skills, and the ability to deal with customers (internal and external) on all levels

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Excel, Word, and Visio.

• Sense of urgency, passion and strong track record of delivering results

• An entrepreneurial spirit and a desire to succeed

• Self-motivation and a passion for customer service

• Sensitivity toward customers and a strong interest in exceeding their expectations
