On-Boarding Coordinator


This is a Contract position in Outaouais, QC posted December 13, 2017.

Our dynamic team is looking for a highly motivated and results-oriented On-boarding Coordinator.

This is an ongoing temporary opportunity.

The On-boarding Coordinator is based in the OSSC Centralized Operations division and is responsible for providing a variety of on-boarding, screening, administrative and logistical support activities to SAO Recruiters. This position offers many challenges in a fast paced environment. Apply today!

The On-boarding Coordinator is critical in accurately and efficiently executing and completing the candidate registration processes to support recruiter on-boarding responsibilities. Working closely with the Operations Manager, Recruiting Manager and Recruiter(s), the individual will be primarily responsible for facilitating the candidate on-boarding and on-boarding process, administering testing and training as necessary, and conducting orientation in order to have candidates available for assignments. This position is also responsible for travelling to and assisting recruiters at job fairs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer (either electronic or hard copy) all employee registration/hiring forms including employment applications, tax forms, skills inventory and additional paperwork as required. Responsible for the accuracy of completed forms within provincial, federal and company guidelines
  • Process, audit and file all employee records. Document information in appropriate systems (KSN and SharePoint)
  • Contact and respond to candidates according to recruiter and customer needs
  • Administer employee orientations including, but not limited to reviewing company policies and procedures with employee and administering safety training and materials. May include customer specific pre-assignment required paperwork.
  • Conduct references
  • Administer testing and training
  • Proactively communicate any delays or gaps in the hiring process to recruiters and/or onsite staff
  • Attend weekly job fairs in Woodstock, ON and Hamilton, ON to assist recruiters with registering candidates


  • Highly organized with attention to detail
  • Proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
  • Experience in screening, hiring and conducting orientations preferred.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Strong problem solving and decision making skills required.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Must have access to a vehicle to attend job fairs
  • Must have a valid “G” Driver’s Licence and clear Driver’s Abstract
