This is a Full-time position in Outaouais, QC posted October 8, 2017.

  • Full-cycle recruitment, including posting roles, tracking and reporting on time to fill, applicant screening, interviews, testing, (if applicable), background and reference checking, hiring, including offer letter creation and coordination of orientation, including organization of new hire packages, creation of swipe cards, organizing of paperwork, submission of paperwork and assisting with new hire orientation

  • Partner with HR Manager, and other Management team members to strategize and implement staffing based on forecast and workload

  • Coordinate temporary staffing with temporary staffing agencies, and provide analysis where required for forecasting and tracking of temporary associates.

  • Provide administrative support: filing, swipe card maintenance, assisting with reporting as required and assistance with HR special projects and presentations.

  • Assist Employees with Compensation and Benefit related issues.

  • Support Employee Relations activities including investigations, coaching and tracking of performance issues as well as supporting and championing recognition programs.

  • Lead the onboarding process for new hires, including setting up of required training programs, facilitating training programs, tracking and ensuring accuracy of all new hire paperwork, setting up onboarding meetings as required and providing facility tours to new hires.

  • Advocate for health and safety throughout the facility, including providing training, and partnering with the client group to ensure the facility is compliant with all applicable legislation.

  • Assist with other projects, as required.

  • Act as back-up for training and orientation as needed.

  • Fully participate in facility Safety initiatives.

  • Strong customer-focus (demonstrated success in identifying, understanding, aligning, delivering and following-up with internal and external customers).

  • Demonstrated success with multi-tasking and the ability to adapt to ever-changing environment while maintaining clear focus on all priorities

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Power Point.

  • Experience with Visio and organizational charts.

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.

  • Strong organization skills and acute attention to detail.

  • Post-secondary education equivalent to a university degree in Human Resources or related field; HR certification an asset

  • 3-4 years HR experience in a generalist HR role touching multiple facets of HR (employee relations/health and safety, performance management, onboarding, recruitment), or equivalent experience preferably in a Distribution environment.

  • Must be available to work in a multi-channel, multi-shift distribution environment, flexible to work regular shift of 1pm

    – 9:30pm or different shifts and extended hours based upon business needs.

  • Valid G drivers license required

  • Some travel required, local and international, no more than 20%
