Job Description

The Job Window is hiring an Event Assistant on behalf of our client, a progressive marketing firm in Gatineau! As an Event Assistant with our client’s staff, you will provide operational assistance as required in the set-up, operation and tear down of their in-store retail events. You will help with creating lasting relationships with customers, interacting with participants, and helping manage event staff. The position requires interaction with customers in an in-store retail environment and day-to-day travel to designated retail event locations. You will provide assistance with marketing, event set-up and breakdown, customer service, sales, and other tasks as needed before, during, and after the event.

The primary duties and responsibilities of an Event Assistant include, but are not limited to:

  • Provide excellent customer service on-site at retail event including encouraging event participation and creating a positive brand experience.
  • Assist marketing efforts in the Ottawa area at designated retail event locations by performing product demonstrations and interacting with all retail event attendees to encourage high levels of participation.
  • Set-up and tear down of the event
  • Loading and transporting marketing materials.
  • Inventory of marketing materials
  • Adhere to all organizational dates and deadlines.
  • Other duties as assigned.
