This is a Full-time position in Outaouais, QC posted October 5, 2017.

Maple Automotive Corporation, affiliated with Toyota Tsusho Canada Inc, is hiring for a Maintenance Technician position at our Cambridge location.

This position will be contract with full-time opportunities.

Shift: Rotating shifts (every two weeks)


  • Maintain, troubleshoot and repair electrical and mechanical production equipment
  • Use PLC’s to troubleshoot and maintain equipment
  • Replace and repair equipment components including motors, gears, etc.
  • Inspect and examine production equipment to detect irregularities and malfunctions
  • Clean, lubricate and perform preventative maintenance on equipment
  • Complete work orders and ensure all equipment’s available and operational
  • Attend to emergency repairs and preventative maintenance during and outside of production hours
  • Complete all administrative and computer work as per the Supervisor and Management’s requirements
  • Assist with the installation and modification of building and production equipment, when required (including holidays and weekends)
  • Use of hand & power tools and welding equipment
  • Read and interpret blue prints, diagrams and schematic drawings
  • Facility maintenance including painting, plumbing, electrical wiring, etc.
  • Assist with the implementation of Corrective Actions/Countermeasures when equipment issues occur
  • Operate lifting devices including a boom lift
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment
  • Assist with procurement of service contracts/repair work and the purchase of facility fixtures and equipment
  • Order and maintain adequate Spare Parts for equipment
  • Adhere to company safety policies and procedures, including Lock-out/Tag-out
  • Perform all other duties as assigned by Supervisors and Management


  • An Ontario or Inter-Provincial Millwright or Electrician license
  • PLC programming experience
  • Grade 12 diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 2 years industrial millwright or electrical experience
  • Industrial Electrician Ticket 442A an asset
  • Ability to work at heights
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work with constantly changing priorities, while being enthusiastic
  • Must be able to lift over 65lbs
  • Good judgement with the ability to make timely and sound decisions
  • Ability to work in a sometimes stressful environment
  • Must work rotating shifts and over-time (including over-time on weekends and holidays)
  • Domestic and international travel, if needed
  • Criminal background check and medical assessment to be completed
