Reliability Consultant

This is a Full-time position in Gatineau, QC posted September 27, 2017.

Job Scope

The role of the reliability consultant is to help extend the useful life of the assets of our clients, through the application of efficient and effective reliability programs, in order to improve the performance and availability of equipment. Your expertise and recommendations support our customers in the overall management of their assets.


Specific Responsibilities:

  • Conduct reliability audits at customer sites; produce reports and recommendations that will drive the implementation of a reliability program, thus favoring the protection and longevity of our clients’ assets.
  • Develop Maintenance Strategies and recommend specific tools or equipment to support the programs.
  • Execute reliability programs such as condition monitoring programs including vibration analysis, thermography, ultrasound analysis and oil analysis. Lubrication programs and PMO (Preventive Maintenance Optimization) are part of your field of expertise.
  • Develop training programs in order to increase our customers’ knowledge and awareness of reliability. If necessary, give on-site training.
  • Support the sales team by promoting reliability products and services and assisting in the preparation of quotations.
  • Keep up to date with current technology trends. Understand the challenges related to the scope of the mandates. Share findings and knowledge with colleagues.


  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or College diploma combined with 3-5 years’ experience in reliability.
  • A CMRP certification or equivalent is an important asset.
  • Must be familiar with the following tools or methodologies; Criticality Analysis, FMEA, PMO, RCM, MRO, ODR, RCA, CMMS.
  • Bilingual (French and English), must be at ease in producing efficient and reliable reports in both languages.

Required skills:

  • Ability to work under pressure and with conflicting priorities
  • Demonstrates knowledge and understanding of the customer’s needs.
  • Knows how to promote recommendations to high-level decision makers.
  • Available to travel up to 50% of the time (Eastern Canada).

Work Location The head office is located in Kirkland (the West of the Island of Montreal)
