Recruitment Specialist

Cambridge Memorial Hospital

This is a Full-time position in Outaouais, QC posted August 3, 2017.

    Responsible for the full cycle of the recruitment and selection process
  • Sourcing and screening candidates, including but not limited to the use of social media
  • Improves overall efficiency by standardizing and streamlining, including automating processes where feasible and within budget
  • Provides accurate and regular reporting of recruitment activities
  • Proactively generates talent attraction strategies, grows sufficient recruitment pools, and strategizes for hard to recruit positions
  • Establishes regular communications with internal and external stakeholders to identify opportunities or challenges in the recruitment model and devise plans to address when required
  • Provide quality, customer-focused service
  • Coordinates employee on-boarding process including new employee orientation and supports ongoing integration of new employee engagement activities
  • Creates and maintains the data bank of all job descriptions/questionnaires
  • Accountable to record, track and monitor various human resources metrics including but not limited to time to fill data, in order to provide monthly updates and make recommendations for improvements
  • Survey completion, analysis and follow up actions
  • Other duties as may be assigned

Candidate Requirements:

  • Post-Secondary education with a diploma/certificate in Human Resources required (an equivalent combination of experience and education may be considered)
  • CHRP designation required or in progress
  • Knowledge of recruitment strategies, candidate sourcing, writing job advertisements, creating benchmarking and selection criteria, creating interview and assessment materials, managing selection and hiring processes.
  • A solid understanding of the labour market is essential
  • Analytical, research and evaluation skills to understand and interpret complex policies, collective agreement provisions, directives, legislation and to ensure consistent application of policies and procedures and standards
  • Strong knowledge of applicable legislation is required
  • Proven recruitment experience in a unionized workplace is crucial
  • Demonstrated ability to achieve results and to find opportunities to continuously improve service
  • High degree of organization, self-motivation and accountability
  • Excellent communication, customer service and interpersonal skills including presentation and development
  • Ability to prioritize in a fast paced environment with competing priorities
  • Well-developed time management and communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to work autonomously
