This is a Full-time position in Outaouais, QC posted October 1, 2017.

Provide advice and counsel in all areas of Human Resources including: employee relations, employment legislation and collective agreement interpretation. Deliver guidance on matters involving code of conduct, attendance awareness and return-to-work/modified work

  • Grievance and dispute resolution management, including representing CMH at mediation/arbitration
  • Reinforce appropriate application of Collective Agreement’s, Legislation, and HR policies and procedures
  • Qualifications:

    • University Degree related to Human Resources Management, Industrial/Labour Relations or equivalent combination of education and relevant current experience in labour relations
    • Minimum of 3-5 years current experience in labour relations environment required, preferably in a healthcare environment
    • CHRP/CHRL designation is required
    • Must have excellent knowledge of employment and labour law, jurisprudence and statutes
    • Demonstrated Mediation/dispute resolution skills an asset
    • Experience with leading workplace investigations is required
    • Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills, including conflict resolution skills
    • Exceptional judgement and acuity; strong ability to manage sensitive issues and to communicate on such matters thoughtfully and appropriately

    • Coaching, counselling and facilitation skills needed to lead managers/directors in developing effective people practices

    • Proven analytical skills and communication skills to present information to various stakeholders at all levels
    • Must have strong competency with Microsoft Office Suite
    • Adept at prioritizing issues and workload, and effectively managing client expectations

    • Proven problem-solving skills with the ability to achieve resolution in conflict situations
    • Demonstrated reliable attendance, punctuality, and performance is required
