Optometric Assistant


This is a Full-time position in Gatineau, QC posted September 10, 2018.

In collaboration with the existing team and optometrists, the employee assumes responsibility for counseling, customer service and the sale of optical products to meet the needs of patients. The person in charge will have to make sure to offer the best experience to the customers. He/she will work closely with optometrists, follow-up with the patient following the eye exam, appointment management, answering phone calls, performing administrative duties using a computer system, order management (sending and receiving) and supporting the sales team in the various needs of the clinic.

Main Responsibilities Greet the client with courtesy, obtain the patient’s history, provide the various pre-tests (auto-refractometry, eye pressure, field of vision), manage schedules and appointments, answer calls, make reminders to patients, support the team in place to effectively respond to patients.

He or she participates in strengthening the brand image and increasing the visibility and reputation of the group. She or he also supports the policies established by the company.

Patience, calm, diplomacy, resourcefulness, motivation, initiative, rigor and discretion are essential qualities sought by the candidate. The incumbent must have the ability to communicate with people, to enjoy customer service and to stay abreast of developments in new products, have a good general culture and a keen interest in the field. optics is a plus.
