Counter Parts Clerk

Uni-Select Inc. is Canada’s leader in the distribution of automotive parts, tools and equipment to the automotive aftermarket. We are currently in an exciting growth phase delivering strong financial results including operating over 50 corporate stores with the goal of continuing to increase that number through acquisitions.

In support of this growth, we are looking for a talented Counter / Inside Sales. The successful person will be an energetic, customer focused, self-starter who has experience in the automotive aftermarket parts industry

Role and responsibilities

  • Delivering a high level of customer service.
  • Interact, respond and follow up with customers on a daily basis, promptly responding to all inquiries in a courteous and efficient manner
  • Sell a diversified line of products via phone, fax, email and over-the-counter
  • Processing customer orders through the computer system, ensuring accuracy and prompt delivery
  • Utilizing the computer system to look up the correct parts for repairs.
  • Ensuring customers parts orders are accurately filled and delivered in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Effectively communicating product features, benefits and warranty policy information to customers.
  • Executing the store’s business plan as per company guidelines.
  • Demonstrate a positive, helpful attitude.
  • Work effectively as part of the team.
  • Adhering to company policies and procedures.
  • Support the sales team through up selling, service, pricing, delivery and inventory inquiries
  • Maintain a well-rounded knowledge of products sold
  • Promote Company Private Branded products
  • Other branch support related duties including but not limited to supporting the warehouse functions as required

Requirements

  • Automotive Parts experience in the automotive aftermarket (Jobber) parts industry(min 1 year)
  • Experience delivering a high level of customer service and sales results
  • Experience with automotive repairs is an asset
  • Proficient knowledge of automotive operating systems and repairs
  • An appetite for continuous learning and knowledge
  • Excellent verbal, written and effective listening skills
  • Experience working under pressure and setting priorities
  • Computer experience
  • Bondable
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends.
