Coordinator, Communications

This is a Contract position in Outaouais, QC posted September 24, 2017.

Brookfield Renewable is looking for a resourceful and resilient Coordinator, Communications who enjoys multitasking in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. As Coordinator, Communications in our North American platform, you will be a key connector and facilitator, partnering with stakeholders across various teams. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Communications, you will have the opportunity to create value for the organization by contributing to internal and external communications projects, executing plans and developing relevant and impactful content.

Responsibilities

In partnership with the broader Communications team:

  • Strategize, brainstorm and contribute to overall communications and marketing strategy and objectives;
  • Support internal teams on their communications needs on projects and campaigns;
  • Draft and review communication materials for both internal and external audiences;
  • Conduct research and analysis to support decision-making and strategies quickly and effectively;
  • Support teams and executives with creating presentations and developing written materials;
  • Ensuring consistency in messaging across various internal and external audiences;
  • Coordinate events, including oversight of logistics and administrative duties;
  • Producing internal communications tools, such as articles, weekly newsletter, daily media review;
  • Maintain company website and profile, ensuring all content is up-to-date, accurate and follows brand guidelines and web best practices;
  • Supporting the design of a variety of tools, including advertisements, posters, signage, infographics and much more.

Requirements

  • Exceptional written communications skills in both French and English;
  • Ability to take initiative, multi-task, and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and evolving priorities;
  • Strong analytical and research skills and ability to challenge ideas, identify concerns, gage gaps, and make credible recommendations in a positive manner;
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and positive attitude that facilitate collaboration with colleagues and external business relations;
  • Excellent writing, editing and research skills;
  • Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail;
  • A strong sense of curiosity and the desire to learn new skills and get better every day;
  • A generalist that is comfortable being exposed to all areas of Communications.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred (Communications, marketing or related field);
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar position;
  • Agency experience is a strong asset;
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Suite (particularly PowerPoint); Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign) considered an asset.
