Assistant, Communications and Branding (3 month contract)

Brookfield Renewable is looking for a resourceful and resilient Communications and Branding Assistant who enjoys multi-tasking in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. As Communications and Branding Assistant under our North American platform, you will be a key connector and facilitator, working with stakeholders across various teams. You will work with the Senior Communications Manager in both internal and external communications tasks. You will also be responsible for supporting the Branding Manager in designing a variety of projects including advertisements, posters, signage, infographics and much more.


  • In partnership with the broader Communications and Branding team, brainstorm, strategize and contribute to overall communications and branding strategy;
  • Draft and review communication materials for both internal and external clients;
  • Research topics and source information quickly and effectively to contribute to our communications and branding strategy;
  • Support coordinating external and internal communications products with the broader communications team;
  • Maintain company website and profile, ensuring all content is up-to-date, accurate and follows brand guidelines and web best practices;
  • Support employees with creating presentations and developing written materials;
  • Assist with event coordination, including oversight of logistics and administrative duties.


  • Exceptional written communications skills in both French and English;
  • Strong ability to navigate ambiguity, a fact pace and tight timelines with a positive attitude, drive to results and proactivity;
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships with all internal departments and collaborate well with internal teams to get things done;
  • Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail and low tolerance for errors;
  • Ability to work extremely well under pressure and multi-task on concurrent projects;
  • Excellent research, writing and editing skills;
  • A strong sense of curiosity and the desire to learn new skills and get better every day;
  • A"generalist" that is comfortable being exposed to all areas of Communications.


  • Bachelor’s degree preferred (marketing, advertising, communications, or related field);
  • Agency experience is a strong asset;
  • Must be proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign) and Microsoft PowerPoint;
  • Knowledge of standard web programming language (HTML) is a strong asset.
